Ahoy Members,

PICYA's Opening Day Parade was a blast. Our very own SRYC members, Rick and Denise Goebel, won Best Overall with their 45' Hatteras, LeMinou! Rick & Denise will be picking their winning prize on May 13th at Oyster Point Yacht Club at the Opening Day Awards Dinner. Congratulations to them and all of Team Goebel who helped decorate and build the giant guitar: Rick G, Jerry M, Jimmy O, Paul K, Shirley V and clean up: Rick G, Denise G, and potential new members Steve Mays and Cindy Jorgensen. The Sound system was supplied by my good friend Mark (Romeo) Miner.

We were even put on national TV on NBC while hanging out in Cubby Cove during the Giants game! The announcers said "if you're having a party, he's the first guy on your list." Thanks again Rick and Denise for an awesome day.
Jane Brennan's and Tim Parkers memorials last month were very successful and well attended by friends and family. They will be missed.

Coming up this month!!! May 11th will be the 2nd Annual May Babies Party. Let me know if you are a May baby to make sure you are celebrated. Even if you are not a May baby, you are still invited to help us celebrate our special month.

May 24-27 is Petaluma Yacht Club's Annual Memorial Day Weekend. This year's theme is “Hollywood Extravaganza.” Get out your tuxes and gowns and come as your favorite Hollywood character. Green-light your weekend by filling out the RSVP form to guarantee your dock spot. Not cruising in by boat? Fill out the RSVP with zeros in the boat questions to be counted in. Deadline is May 10th!

See you at the club and be sure to welcome our newest members being inducted and introduced this month.

Hello everyone,

In order to avoid any scheduling conflicts, and due to the May Baby/Jerry’s Birthday party on Saturday, May 11th and some events on my calendar, we will be postponing the meeting for one week. Our next meeting for the SRYC Auxiliary will be Friday, May 17th. At that meeting we will FINALLY review and approve the new, improved SRYCA By-laws and discuss any events/dates/dinners/parties that the Aux can sponsor or participate in down the road.

We hope that some, or ALL of our new members will enhance their SRYC experience by also joining the SRYC Auxiliary and help/participate in the selection, planning, and execution of fun events to make membership even more exciting. Or, if you choose to join, you can just sit back and observe, and help out where and when you can (our by-laws DO require you to do SOMETHING during the year). Fund-raisers, dinners, cook your own steak nights, potlucks, theme parties, cruise-in events, and more are all potentials for the 2024 calendar.

AUXILIARY APPLICATION
The Auxiliary is open to all members and their significant others. Traditionally the Auxiliary leans towards family related activities. We organize Christmas parties, theme dinners i.e. Italian nights, Cook Your Own Steak nights, Karaoke evenings and many other fun-filled events. The goal is always to provide enjoyment and opportunities for fund raising.
Dues are only $20/year payable to SRYCA.
Just place your application and dues in the office mail slot.
